Spellbinders Hot Foil Club for June 2022

Spellbinders Hot Foil Club for June 2022

Paisley Glimmer!

I thought Mays club kit was cool, but boy June is right up on top also. If you don’t know about Spellbinders Clubs, they have quite a few. I decided that a good way for me to learn and build my hot foil items was to join the Glimmer Hot Foil Club. Reasonably priced at $22.50, it is well worth the price. You get super fun hot foil plates and dies and a roll foil. Junes came with the rainbow one, which is super pretty. Now on with the show and tell…

I foiled my Paisleys in silver, they came out SO pretty. Then I cut them out with the coordinating die. It has a neat pie crust edge. There is a smaller one the cuts to the inner paisley also, but with a straight edge. I think it would look cool layered…..hmm might have to try that! I also ink blended the round end with Wilted Violet and my Bitty Bunny Blending Brush!

I foiled and cut out my sentiment with the coordinating die.

I added loads of Jewels from Buttons Galore & More Neutral mix. I adhered them with Tonic Deluxe.

Card Details:

  • Card base of Accent Opaque White 120lb
  • White layer, also base paper cut with Whimsy Stamps Sprinkle Scallop die, adhered with fun foam and 1/4 inch double side adhesive
  • Paisleys and sentiment hot foiled on Glimmer machine with silver foil, both were die cut with coodinating dies
  • Paisleys ink blended with Distress Oxides in Wilted Violet with Bitty Bunny Blending Brush, just on the rounded end, purple Jewlez added with Tonic Deluxe, adhered with foam squares
  • Sentiment added with micro foam squares
  • Lots of Jewelz from the Neutral mix added for fun.
  • Envelope embellished with some color coordinated paper and 6 inch double side adhesive

Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil Club from May 2022

Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil Club from May 2022

Do you love hot foil? If so you need to join this club!

Hey guys! I wanted to show you my new kit from Spellbinders Hot Foil Club. Oddly enough I used the kit w/o doing any foiling! LOL. May’s kit has this really cool butterfly die, that does have areas to hot foil, BUT it also had areas to add some needlework! Dang two things I love in one. Sadly though I had to create this card for some friends who recently lost their Father.

I cut out the layers of the butterfly and stitched the wings with some DMC thread in Monet.

I paired my butterfly with a fun retired embossing folder using some white shimmer paper. I also included the die cut sympathy, which I cut twice adhering them together then adding crystal lacquer to the top for shine and dimension.

This is what came in my kit. The words are all foilable, as well as portions of the butterfly. They are really great kits with an awesome price point. It also came with some gold foil!

I picked my paper colors to go with the thread.

Card Details:

  • Card base or Accent Opaque White 12olb
  • Bermuda Bay layer cut with Whimsy die set, adhered with tape runner
  • White shimmer layer cut with same die set, then dry embossed with a retired folder, adhered with fun foam and 1/4 inch double side adhesive
  • Mint macaron layer cut with same die set, adhered with tape runner
  • Sympathy cut twice, adhered together, 3D crystal lacquer added for shine and dimension, adhered with zig chisel glue
  • With word stamped on base paper with versafine and heat embossed with clear powder, adhered with foam squares
  • Butterfly pieces adhered together with Beacon glue, adhered with foam squares
  • Honeybee aurora borealis gems added randomly
  • Honeybee black gem added to butterfly head
