Simon Says Stamp “Wooly Lucky”

🍀Good Morning from me

Now that St. Patricks Day is over and hopefully everyone is recovered, I have my St. Patricks Day card to show you. (Actually three, each with a little different green and patterned paper.) I didn’t want to blog this too early and spoil the surprise for my family and close friends. The stamp set I used, Wooly Lucky is from Simon Says Stamp. It is also part of their March Happy Rainbow Kit. I did not go for the whole kit, but this stamp set was too cute to pass up.  Since I married into an Irish family I am always on the lookout for St. Patricks Day related stuff.
Is he not just the silliest Llama? I love his smirk! I gave each a twist with a different shade of green paired with patterned paper.
I colored all the Llamas the same. Their bodies I are a solid cool gray, then I took blending solution and a small rag to give them that neat texture. Did you know that you can use all types of textured fabric to do this? Corduroy, denim and burlap as well as a bath towel make fantastic texturing.
I matched the patterned card stock to some solid. This patterned paper is Authentique. Their paper has the most awesome texture and feel to it.  The solid is all Stampin’ Up! I love that I am able to coordinate items not from the same company.
The clouds were die cut on glimmer paper, then I colored a rhinestone in the same shade of green in each card. With this die set I often throw a rhinestone on it. I honestly cannot tell you why. I am just compelled to do it! I’m telling you it must be a Jersey Girl/Bling thing.
