A Little About Me..... My Husband, our three dogs and I live in Annapolis Maryland and have a small cottage in Chincoteague Island Virginia. Once Spring arrives we spend as many weekends as we can in CI right thru Thanksgiving. I have been crafty my whole life, and come from a pretty creative family. My Mimi (Grandmother) was an Egger. Where you use different eggs as your medium. My Mom did counted thread work aka needlework. My Dad was a decoy carver. My Sister and I both did needlework in our teens and twenties and she now knits up a storm! My card making hobby started about 15 years ago. It has evolved into having a home Studio and selling my cards in my Etsy Shop KilleenHouseStudio.com. I have no formal training. But I do love to take classes, as many as I can! I have done Jen Doves Copic Boot Camp. I have taken a Wreath Builder class with Gina Krupsky of Gina K Designs. I have also done several classes with Danielle Walls of Neat & Tangled. My copic skills are the ones I work on most and I try and take classes twice a month with Nancy Sheads of Rowhouse Greetings. I am excited to add that I am also a Product Demonstrator for Demo Days at Photoscraps! I am doubly happy to announce that as of July 14, 2019 I am a Design Team Member for Papercraft Business Challenges. Check out their blog! My main goal is to make people smile with my cards. My ultimate goal is to be able to create card samples for rubber stamp companies aka being a guest designer.

The other cupcake!

Hi all! Today I have the third card of four featuring The Rabbit Hole Designs Christmas in July release! I have been using Sweet Christmas, and there are three other stamp and die sets in this release. As I have done previously I added all the stamp and die sets in this release into the shopping to make it easy for you. My card this time is the second cupcake, I kept it relatively clean and simple with a large one word sentiment! Now, on with the Show & Tell…

Lots of colorful layers and one fancy die cut border! The white lines on the pink paper are hand drawn with a gelly roll pen.

Morning Dew over some Copic C’s make those silver balls pop!

Card Details:

  • Card Base of Accent Opaque White 120lb
  • Ripe Raspberry layer cut with layering rectangle, adhered with tape runner
  • Spring Floral Striped layer cut with same due set, adhered with tape runner
  • Caribbean Sea layer cut with Stitches of Love die set, adhered with fun foam and 1/4 inch double side adhesive
  • Ripe Raspberry layer cut with layering rectangle, adhered with tape runner, white lines added with gelly roll pen
  • Image stamped on Hammermill with Gina K obsidian, colored with Copic markers, cut with Brother Scan N Cut, adhered with foam squares
  • Sentiment stamped on base paper with Versafine and heat embossed with clear powder, cut with word window, adhered with fun foam and 1/4 inch double side adhesive
  • Nuvo Morning Dew added to silver balls, white gel pen added for highlights
  • Envelope embellished with matching paper and 6 inch double side adhesive

Card 2 for The Rabbit Hole Designs Christmas In July!

Hi All! Here is my second card using Sweet Christmas. I love this off the hook sentiment. I have SO MANY friends I could send this to. Are you loving this new release? I really feel like there is a little something for everyone. Like last time I have added all the new release sets and their coordinating dies in the shopping list for your convenience. For this card I used the bow and candy cane stamps. The patterned paper is from Crafters Companion. Now, on with the Show & Tell…

Using cool grays for the ‘white’ of the candy canes makes them pop.

If you look closely you can see a small facet gem in the center of each bow. You know I had to get some bling on there!!

Card Details:

  • Card Base of Accent Opaque White 120lb
  • Field Day layer cut with layering rectangle, adhered with tape runner
  • Santa’s Workshop paper cut with same die set, adhered with tape runner
  • Wild Cherry layer cut with retired Whimsy Stamps die, adhered with fun foam and 1/4 inch double side adhesive
  • Sentiment stamped on Base paper with Versafine and heat embossed with clear powder, cut with retired Whimsy Stamps die, adhered with foam squares
  • Candy Canes and Bows stamped on Hammermill, colored with Copic markers, cut with Brother Scan N Cut, adhered together with Tonic Deluxe glue, adhered to card with foam squares
  • Faceted gems added to center of bows
  • Envelope embellished with matching paper
