Oddball Turtle

A total ‘case” of paper piecing!

I recently saw a version of this stamp done with some paper piecing and I knew I had to try it. Stamping Bella Oddballs and Gnomes are stamps that I do go back and color again and again. So I apologize if ya’ll get tired of them! Keep reading to see my inspiration and my version.

Here is the inspiration for my card. I saw it on Instagram, done by a woman named Simone. HERE is a link to hers!

I stamped my image on Hammermill and also on this cool Craft consortium paper, and fussy cut the shell pieces.

After I glued down the pieces, I decided I did not like the way it looked. So I covered the whole shell section with 3D Crystal Lacquer. It served two purposes: one being it made the surface smooth and second it gave it shine so it looks wet.

This is the first card……..

This is the second!

So cute! Great paper piecing. I do love the coating that you added to the shell. It really makes the shell pop. Thanks for sharing!
