Birthday Wishes

More fun from Anita Jeram and Colorado Craft Co!

I make a lot of Birthday cards, do you? Recently as it goes I needed some masculine cards. Now normally you do not think “oh Bunnies and Balloons” perfect for manly cards! LOL. But….. giving this bunny some darker brown fur and a blue ballon, voila! Ok, well it works for me. Keep reading and check it out.

I colored this balloon 5 times, and each one looked completely different. Notice the tiny spot outside the lines? When you look at the whole card, you barely notice it. I point this out because we all want our cards to be perfect…well mine is still perfect even with a tiny boo-boo. I stopped being so hard on myself when these things show up in my close up photos. They are minor!

I love this warm brownish red. What is the best advice you have gotten in regards to Copic Coloring? My fave and one that helps me all the time is: Break your image down into parts. I did just that coloring this bunny. I did the ears, then face, arms, legs and feet then finally the larger part of his body. It really takes the stress out of looking at all that open space and wondering how in the heck……!

Paired with the plaid paper and blue card stock it does really work as manly!
