I have relocated for a while….
Happy Tuesday from lovely Chincoteague Island Virginia! If you have read my About Me page you know my Husband and I have a little beach cottage here. At the end of May when the Mayor said second home owners or as we are affectionately called “come heres” were allowed back we beat feet for a long weekend. During that weekend I realized that hey; all our trips, graduations, functions, get togethers and all hubbys work functions have been essentially cancelled thru November. So I looked at my husband and said hey, I think I want to move to the beach for the summer. He is on a modified schedule and mostly working from home. So after I got the ok form the Dr. ( I recently had my gallbladder removed) I packed up everything I would need to keep coloring and creating for you and came back! Now mind you, this is a tiny house 750 sq feet and only two closets! But, my friend Jen Dove can do it in an RV, and my friend Nancy from Row House Greetings does it in a row house with NO closets. So I figured I could tough it out for a few months. My hubby leaves on Tuesday mornings and goes back to Annapolis and returns here on Thursday nights.
So I have been here almost two weeks and literally have made ONE card! LOL. I need to get into a routine, I hate change and it takes me a while to settle back in. Also finding and using all my stuff is a challenge since I am so used to where things are in my Studio at home. I thought I would give you a little peek at how I have set things up.

I grabbed all my solid colored paper and most of my white, leaving them in the storage boxes. This was the easiest part of the move! I piled them onto two crates giving me some more storage. The bottom crate has some miscellaneous stuff , and the second has all my Nuvo drops. The cart here is all my copic refills and I have just piled some fun foam on top.

This is actually most of my patterned paper! Luckily this bin will also slide into the closet for storing.

The top of the closet has all my stamps! YES ALL OF THEM! I could not choose and they where pretty easy to move since I recently converted them all to pouches and these bins. I even managed to keep some clothes in there too!

These also slide into the closet, the bag holds 3 sets of colored pencils and the bin has all my Zentangle stuff.

I utilized a narrow 6 ft folding table for my CutterPillar, my Gemini Jr and my Scan N Cut.

I laid a board I had on top of this foot rest and voila! a place for all my dies. The empty spot next to it is where I roll the cart that holds all my Copics.

I moved some decorative stuff and used this little shelf for some adhesive, cut pieces of fun foam and my tools for the gemini

After I got here I realized another cart would be super useful for all those things that are usually at hand on my desk. Darice to the rescue! I also added some fun foam and Licorice Bazzil paper to my order.

When I am ready to work I roll my carts to either side of my tiny kitchen table, add my glass mat and a lamp and I am good to go! It has taken some adjustment. So literally I have three carts, a 6 foot table and a closet. My goal is to do the bulk of my work while my husband is gone.

I even utilized the top of our ice maker and the side of the fridge!
I am so happy that I was able to do this AND keep the guest room, except for the closet untouched! Since we do love to have our friends come visit. The other fun new thing I did was order an adult tricycle! YUP, and it’s purple. Since I could not pack up the home gym, I will walk, bike, kayak and use my hand weights.

Here is the one card I have done so far! She is a digital stamp from Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez. I plan on sending her to a friend of mine who is planning to visi

I like your stamp storage, I know your stamps are in the clear envelope type holders, what are the plastic bins they are in?
Yes, they are in the pouches. I got the bins on Amazon. Here is a link for them: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M0O82ZS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. They work wonderfully!
Wow, I’m glad you got to do a great move for the summer. It seems that you’ll be doing just fine there! Your card is so bright and sweet!! Thank you so much for showcasing my digi so well. x
Awwwe! Thank you so much Patricia! I love your digis. And yes, I think I will do just fine here.
What a cute card! Glad you were able to take all your supplies with you! I have most of my craft room unpacked….just a few more things. Have fun this summer!
A big job setting up – but … sounds perfect to me!! Enjoy!!! 🙂
