Thank You Flowers using Gina K. and My Favorite Things

Good Morning from my little corner of the world.  I hope everyone had an awesome Holiday weekend. Since I only had one item to make for the family Easter meal I had some Studio time in the morning. It gave me the chance to create some cards I need for our upcoming trip.

If you are new to this blog let me explain. When we travel I always give the Flight Attendants a Starbucks gift card in a handmade card, I also tip hotel housekeeping in a card. For me it’s a nice way to make someone smile.  I whipped up 8 cards with a  Spring type flower theme, two of each design.

Instead of giving them a traditional Thank You sentiment, I used “You are wicked awesome”. Now tell me, wouldn’t that make you smile? I think it would give me a giggle and a smile. My friend Jeanie over at Just Stampin’ enjoyed it since she’s from New England! My Niece Ame will too, being a Rhode Island girl.

A closer look at each card:

The rectangle dies I used are from C.C. Designs and called Rectangles No. 1. I looked for them when I made the clickable shopping list, but they seem to be retired.  I like them because they are a little off size and have a bit of different stitch pattern to them.  If you really love them you might try checking Ebay. The center of this flower also has a spot of Nuvo Crystal drops in Dandelion.

The white highlite and white stippling were done with a no.5 sakura gelly roll pen. I use this pen in three tip sizes small to large 5, 8 and 10.

Sometimes a simple embellishment is the best. Rhinestone basic jewels in medium and small size were all these cards needed for that extra something.

Even though the patterned paper also featured flowers, I think it blended well with the single stamped flowers. Love Nicole is a nice heavy weight paper, I believe I grabbed this at my local Joanne’s.

Oh Jill, I always try to remember to do this. One day . . .
They are all so pretty. I would just like to keep a few of these on hand to "fill in" as needed.
Have a blessed day. 🙂
