Good morning from Annapolis.
Welcome to the Pals’ February blog hop. We’re so glad you’re here because it’s “Time to Sale-A-Brate”! Our Design Team created projects using Sale-A-Bration items to inspire you. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
When I first saw this set in the Sale-A-Bration catalog I knew had to have it. Growing up we had two rooster lamps in our house. When my parents moved in together they each brought one with them. My Dad’s is all white with a lovely maple base. Like he was it is a classic, sturdy, functional lamp. Not too showy. It resides in my bedroom. My Mom’s like she was, is very detailed and colorful. That one resides in my Sister’s living room. February happens to be the month both my parents passed away in. On the 8th my Dad will been gone 11 years and on the 28th my Mom will be gone 8 years. Creating this card felt like my little tribute to them. I hope it brings you a smile.
When I started to design this card I wanted it to be like those two lamps. Classic and functional with a little bit of show!

For the sentiment I stamped it in Versamark and heat embossed with black embossing powder. Heat embossing a sentiment gives it some dimension and makes it “pop”, it is a favorite technique of mine.
More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Don’t forget to show us some love by commenting on our creations. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 13, 2019 when our Hoppin’ Pals share their “Spring Has Sprung” projects. Don’t miss the fun!
